Jesus Christ our Saviour the Messiah is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the Lion and the Lamb, the Word of God, Beloved begotten son of God, the Cornerstone, the Master, Teacher and Healer, the Gate, the Bridge, the Vine and the Mediator, both Son of God and Son of Man, the Bridegroom, the Prince of Peace and the King of the New Earth.
Since Jesus is The Word of God, He has been here since the beginning of creation when God spoke creation into being. This is why He is referred to as the Alpha, the first letter of the Greek alphabet. Jesus is also called the Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet because as He stated, in Matthew 28:20 “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Genesis 1: 1-8 – The Beginning
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.Revelation 21:5-6 – A New Heaven and a New Earth
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.
JESUS FIRST ARRIVES ON EARTH AS A LAMB
In the Old Testament, Isaiah speaks of the coming of Jesus in chapter 53 and in chapter 61 he foretells the changes that Jesus would bring forth.
Isaiah 61:1-2
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
In the New Testament under Luke 4, after Jesus was put to the test by Satan during his 40-day fast in the desert, He returns to Nazareth to begin His Ministry and goes to the synagogue where He will be rejected after stating the following:
Luke 4: 16-21
So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Note that Jesus did not mention the last part of Isaiah’s 61:2 verse “and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.” He is in fact declaring that He was chosen by God to come to earth to preach the gospel, to heal, to free from enslavement and to open the eyes of the poor, brokenhearted and oppressed souls and also, to bring about a new Jubilee (*).
He did not read the last part of this verse because that part was to happen in the future when He was to come back as the Lion for the day of vengeance of God (judgement) to comfort all that mourn. By omitting this part of the verse, Jesus made clear He knew exactly what His mission was and the way He would die as a sacrifice to save all souls from the penalty of sin, who would choose to accept His gift.
(*) The “acceptable year of the Lord” was a reference to a Jubilee Year in the Hebrew tradition. The Book of Leviticus prescribes a special year, a Jubilee Year, in which debts would be remitted, lands restored to their original owners, and slaves liberated. Since Passover originally represented the passing over by the angel of death in Egypt of the houses of the Hebrew slaves who had put the blood of a sacrificial lamb on their door as prescribed by God through Moses and their subsequent liberation from Egypt to travel to the Promised Land, Jesus would by His sacrifice and resurrection give an additional meaning to the Passover – His death on the cross now allowing for the liberation of all souls enslaved by sin, their sin debt being paid by His blood, to allow these souls to return to their original home and Owner i.e.: God, in the Promised Land – the New Jerusalem. As an atoning sacrifice for all sins, He had come to be a sacrificial lamb.
JESUS IS ALSO THE MIDDLE AS THE WAY, THE VINE, A BRIDGE AND THE GATE
The symbol of the ICHTHYS used by Christian (IXƟYƩ or ἰχθῦς (ikhthûs) means fish but is also an acrostic developed to mean Jesus Christ God Son Savior:

Taking a look at the Vesica Piscis which is the intersection of two circles, we also find the gate between two realms. This symbol literally translated means Vessel of the Fish. The image below shows God’s kingdom where He dwells intersecting with the world below where Humanity currently dwells. Jesus is the Vesica Piscis, the ultimate Vessel for the souls or the Ark, the overlapping area or intersection and bridge between God and Man. This provides additional clarity as to why Jesus called himself both “The Son of God” and “The Son of Man.” Any person who comes to God through Christ is “in Christ” and no one can come to the Father but by Him.

John 14:6 -7
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”John 10: 1-10
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them. Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.Revelation 3:7
“These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”Matthew 7:13 – 14 – The Narrow Gate – Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Jesus represents the mediator between Humanity and God. Through His blood shed for our sins, He allows souls to be redeemed from spiritual death upon repenting of their sins and accepting His gift of eternal life. He is the Vine leading home, a Bridge between God’s Kingdom of eternal life and the world of death which is the tree of knowledge of good and evil from which no soul can escape.
He is also the Gate by which we can enter the Kingdom and no one can enter the Kingdom without being in Him first.
JESUS THE CORNERSTONE
Jesus is also the Cornerstone that the builders have rejected:
Psalm 118:22 “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”
Isaiah 28:14-19 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem. You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death, with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.” 16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. 17 I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place. 18 Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the realm of the dead will not stand. When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it. 19 As often as it comes it will carry you away; morning after morning, by day and by night, it will sweep through.”
JESUS CHRIST WILL SOON RETURN AS THE CONQUERING LION
The following scriptures foreshadow Jesus’ coming as descendant in the line of Judah referenced as “The conquering lion of Judah” on judgement day. This also represents the completion of a cycle or a circle, first coming as a sacrificial lamb and returning as an avenging lion, both then dwelling together, the two actually being one and the same.

Isaiah 11: 1-10 – The Branch from Jesse
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
The LION also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
[…]
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.Revelation 21: 5-8
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
While we are all sinners, we do not need to remain so. If you repent of your sins to God and accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to cover your sins, (the blood that justifies you of all sins with respect to the legal world system), and if you ask God to be born again through His Holy Spirit, (the living water that cleanses all), you become a new creature in Christ, unblemished, redeemed of all sins and free from the law of death for sins.
Once you are born again by the Holy Spirit, you have entered the Vessel or the Ark that is Christ and the Gate to the Kingdom of truth and life will open for you. The legal world system of death no longer has any hold on your soul. You are reborn as a new creature in Christ under the Law of eternal life by God’s grace. Remember, contrary to the world system, Jesus came to save souls, not to condemn them.
Luke 9:56 “For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives (souls), but to save them.”
