What is sin exactly in the broadest sense? Sin is anything that moves a soul away from God or keeps it away from God, it is that simple. Each soul incarnates into the world in a body tethered to the world, a body which keeps it away from God.  Further, the soul in the world system is bathing in a duality of lesser light and obscurity and is therefore tainted. This is why we say we are born into sin, into bondage, slaves to the world system because the soul will remain tainted and the body will remain attached to the world as long as the soul is not born again through the Holy Spirit in order to break its chains.

While the body can for a while find some temporary pleasures in the world, the soul will unconsciously always seek to return home. This is why most people no matter their mileage, feel a persistent unspoken sadness without really understanding why – this undefinable void is the unfulfilled desire of the soul.

However, each soul also comes into the world with free will allowing it to either move closer to God or farther away through its choices.

Each soul carries its own unique energy signature, just like a fingerprint. If a soul chooses to follow the way that is right in God’s eyes, it can raise its energy signature and if it chooses to stray from that path and follow the broad path that seems right to the world, it lowers its energy signature sinking further into this realm.

Proverb 14:12 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”

Matthew 7:13-14 – “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. ¹⁴ But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.“

Indeed, anything generating an energetic signature contrary to the energy present in God’s Kingdom, will result in tainting the soul’s energetic signature forcing it to move further away from God into the Kingdom of darkness.  In Physics, the notion of quantum jumps is an interesting analogy, where abrupt transitions of atoms, molecules or atomic nuclei occur from one quantum state to another, (from one energy level to another), accompanied by the emission or absorption of photons. When the system absorbs energy, there is a transition to a higher energy level (excitation); when the system loses energy, there is a transition to a lower energy level. 

Since everything, including our body, is composed of atoms and molecules, it goes without saying that through our thoughts, choices and actions we are either gaining positive energy and raising our level of energy or losing energy thereby lowering our energy signature. Every day, we move energy and affect our own signature and the world around us in this way whether we are conscious of it or not.

Every electromagnetic wave has a particular wavelength, (distance from one crest to the next), and different types of radiation have different characteristic ranges of wavelengths (as shown in the diagram below). Types of radiation with long wavelengths (i.e.: slower), such as radio waves, carry less energy than types of radiation with short wavelengths (faster), such as X-rays.

The soul and its vessel, the human body, are meant to undergo a transformation through the various trials the soul is subjected to in the world system. The purpose of this transformation is to allow the body to eventually serve as a temple for God, (i.e.: to accept the Holy Spirit within) and become a conscious servant of God and a spiritual warrior for the Kingdom of God here in the world and elsewhere.

In order for the soul to be fully indwelled by the Holy Spirit, it must become compatible with the Holy Spirit’s divine energy.  The soul must therefore be cleansed of energetic impurities and of its attachments to the world.  While the Holy Spirit is with the soul from the moment of birth and more so once it is born again, over time the work carried out by the Holy Spirit on the soul will free it from worldly attachments.  This work cannot be accomplished by an individual in isolation, through a decision, willpower or any other practice but rather, by the Holy Spirit in collaboration with the soul once a person is born again. 

Nobody can change the body and align it with God’s energy from the outside, not by way of science, occult practices or by any other means and no vessel will ever become a temple for God unless the soul has repented of its sins and has been justified of all sins and purified.  A change must take place within by the hand of God which then triggers a change to the vessel.  This is obvious when we accept that God, the Source of all life, is attached to everything, including our souls, and that all edifying energy comes from Him.

When souls dwell with God in Heaven, their unique energetic signatures are compatible “energy-wise” with that realm however when souls move away from the Kingdom, sin is introduced and the defilement which then occurs lowers the energy signature of the souls.  The defilement slows the energy down becoming denser, more physical.  When incarnating in a body, the soul has already moved away from God and this is why we say, as mentioned above, that we are born into sin and must be born again through the Spirit of life in order to return home.

If we are following the vine or the narrow path leading back to our original home, we are merely walking through the valley of the shadow of death here, overcoming obstacles and building our spiritual armor along the way.  If we don’t follow this path, we get further tethered to the world and we aren’t going anywhere.

There are many reasons why it is important to understand the energetic significance of choices, the impact of our choices on our bodies, our health, our relationships and our capacity to be born again and return home.  But it is also our responsibility to assimilate this knowledge because whether we realize it or not, we are born in the middle of a spiritual war between the Kingdom of light and the Kingdom of darkness.  This war is being fought through us with the Kingdom of darkness setting up situations aiming to see us fall and the Kingdom of light inspiring us and encouraging us when needed to help us get back on our feet and keep going with the hope that we will find the straight and narrow path.

How we react in this world and the choices we make during our life can influence the outcome of this war for the positive or for the negative, every choice we make moves energy in one direction or the other.  We must understand that we are absolutely in charge of whether we move closer to our original condition (i.e.: immortality in the Kingdom of Truth and Life) or whether we continue straying ever further into darkness in the Kingdom of Deception and Death.

There is no point discussing the differences between sins to evaluate which ones are worse in order to elevate ourselves, compare ourselves to other souls and condemn them.  We are not here to mock, attack, cause other souls to stumble or to judge them neither are we here to become mercenary soul catchers for Satan (Squid Game); rather, all souls are here to help each other leave this realm and return home.  All souls are connected to each other, like a fishing net, a net which should be filled with fish (souls), as we should strive to save as many souls as possible out of the state of slavery to sin in this world, we should strive to leave no soldier behind.

There are many debates in the world today on what should constitute a sin and what “should” not” as if any opinion on our part could reverse the energetic nature of an action or a thought. This is not a matter under our control. This question is more related to physics than to philosophy, politics, sociology or even religion. We cannot change the intrinsic energy or nature of something just because a majority of people want to change negative energy into positive energy. The intrinsic energy of an action or thought is the very essence that gives them life and thus this energy is woven into this action or thought in such a way that it could not be separated from it.

Whether any action is declared legal in the world is also irrelevant in the sense that it cannot reverse the intrinsic real energy of that action from negative to positive. That is to say, the world may consider certain actions to be acceptable and the individuals who perpetrate them may choose to believe that these were without consequence but the negative intrinsic energy of these actions will still affect the energetic signature of the affected souls pushing them further into the kingdom of deception and death.

This world is a legal system managed by the Kingdom of darkness and this Kingdom only renders one judgement on all souls, that of death as the price for sin – there is no mercy in the world system.  If this system had its way, all souls would already be dead as all souls are born into sin and all souls have sinned. Thankfully the judges in charge of this world system ultimately report to God and must respect the principle of free will which allows for a soul to be cleansed from sins and leave the world.

For a soul to seek to be cleansed, it must first recognize its sinful condition. For a soul to imagine it never sinned is a sin in and of itself.

1 John 1:5-10: “[…]  God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.  If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. “

Since God is light and in him there is no darkness, it is not possible to dwell with God and have a little bit of darkness in us. We cannot be in two worlds at the same time, we cannot serve two masters.

Since the Kingdom of darkness is in charge of this world, it is only natural that the world will make it very easy and legal for souls to sin as it stands to gain from the fall of as many souls as possible.  We do not need to argue with each other and try to convince other souls not to stray.  Just provide advice as kindly as possible and then just pray for them.  Don’t forget to wipe the dust off your shoes though when you have tried to help and your efforts consistently come back to harm you.  We are called to have one master; we cannot please everybody in the world nor can we change our energetic signature just to fit in and be accepted by the world. This would be akin to a spiritual suicide.

We are not to fall prey to the schemes of the world and its workers of iniquity.  You can love and still be called to walk away at some point.  Each soul is responsible to make its choices and to either move closer to the light or move further away, it is the soul’s choice.

Understanding the impact of our decisions and becoming conscious decision-makers in the world transforms us into useful servants and soldiers for the Kingdom of God, actively and consciously participating in the spiritual war.  Our weapons are not physical but spiritual and we fight through every choice we make. We do not oppose other souls, we do not oppose flesh and blood, but rather the “Forces of Darkness” that work through the people and events around us, as stated in Ephesians 6: 10-12:

Ephesians 6:10-12: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

We are all prodigal children making our way back home. Don’t lose heart, repent, accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to be justified of all sin and be born again (read HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN), start putting on your spiritual armor (read GETTING THE SPIRITUAL ARMOR) and become a useful servant and soldier for the kingdom of truth and life.  Start pulling your end of the fish net to save our fallen soldiers, the souls captive in the world and worlds unseen.
