CREATION OF ADAM AND EVE IN THE GARDEN
Genesis 2:7-25
“7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
[…]
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
[…]
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. 25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.”
Adam was a creation of God made in His image from clay – (all the elements of the human body are found on the earth and in the earth, therefore in dust or clay) – and was therefore not born of a woman. Unlike Adam, God conceived Jesus in the flesh by the Holy Spirit and through a woman, He who already existed from the very beginning with God. Thus, Jesus became both Son of God and Son of Man, thereby creating a bridge between God and humanity.
If a comparison between Adam and Jesus were to be proposed, it would be necessary to see that the first Adam was strictly created out of matter although animated by the Spirit of God while Jesus, the second Adam, He who was already with God, was also conceived by the Spirit of God in the material thus becoming both human and divine. From this progression between Adam and Jesus, we can notice a similarity between the Old Testament which addresses souls evolving in the material world while the New Testament announced by Jesus Christ addresses souls evolving from the material world towards the Kingdom of God, the divine Promised Land.
The fact that Jesus is both the Son of God and the Son of Man is important since Jesus will later be called to suffer and willingly take on his shoulders all the sins of humanity, sacrificing his life to save sinners, thereby undoing our heritage from the days of Adam and Eve in the Garden when Eve blamed the serpent and Adam blamed Eve and God for their respective sin.
According to the Book of the Law, a “perfect sacrifice” is the required price to redeem souls for their sins in order to free them from the world and the Law of death for sins. Since all life in the world was born in sin, there is no life here that could meet the requirements to be a perfect sacrifice and this has been the case since the creation of the world. On the other hand, Jesus who was already with God, therefore outside the fallen world and who was begotten by God in the world, represents the lamb without spot. By willingly giving His life, He became THE perfect sacrifice to pay the price required by the Law to free souls from their slavery to sin in the world system. As Son of God and Son of Man, Jesus therefore became not only the bridge between the Kingdom of God and the fallen world but also the door out of the world, for those who agree to be saved by His sacrifice.
THE BIRTH OF JESUS, THE DIVINE ADAM
Matthew 1:18-20 – Conception and Birth of Jesus
18 Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, since he was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. 20 But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
While Adam was created by God in His image and the fall from the Garden of Eden launched Humanity’s cycles of spiritual evolution starting first with the Book of the Law which offered no forgiveness for sins and through which people tried to obtain their salvation by way of “good works” without ever being able to achieve it because the Law provided no possibility of forgiveness through good works, Jesus as the second “Divine Adam”, not a “creation” of God but the Son of God and the Son of Man, Mediator between heaven and earth, declares a new covenant between God and Humanity allowing forgiveness of sins. By Jesus’ atoning sacrifice which met the sacrificial requirements under the Book of the Law (Leviticus 16), a ritual which never could have been properly carried out before He came to earth as it required a “perfect sacrifice”, a doorway out of the system of condemnation and spiritual death for sins for all who accept His gift and wish to return to their divine home was created. His work on earth also allows human beings not only the opportunity to be freed from the world but also to become divine children of God by walking in His footsteps by living in line with His teachings, thus transitioning from Adam’s sinful condition to become like Christ.
THE BIRTH OF THE NEW EVES
Unlike Eve’s creation solely in the flesh from Adam’s rib, all who are born again in Christ are born again through His blood shed for our sins and through the Holy Spirit of God who is the water of life that purifies. Therefore, just as God created Eve from Adam’s rib, all of Christ’s disciples are born again from His blood and from the water of life flowing from His side (His ribs) when he was pierced on the cross for our sins, a biblical typology of the new birth through the Holy Spirit – but the similarity ends there since the disciples of Christ become divine children of God in the making through their transformation via Christ – they are in transition between the human condition and the divine condition.
Thanks to this new birth through the Son of God and the Son of Man, the new Adam born of the Holy Spirit, He who is ONE with God, we become Blood of the Blood of Christ and Spirit of the Spirit of Christ who is the Spirit of God, unlike Eve who was Bone of Adam’s Bones and Flesh of his Flesh. It is the beginning of the departure from the material world to the divine world.
John 19: 32-37 – The crucifixion of Jesus
“The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. 33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. 35 The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,” 37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.” (Zechariah 12:10)”
This means that all those who are born again are the “new Eves” that will meet Jesus, their bridegroom, at the end of days for their wedding day. All souls who are born again by the blood of Christ and by the spirit of God become brides of Christ. Joining Christ to become “ONE” is the divine marriage. The soul can then move beyond being a spark of God to become a child of God who can return to its divine home just like the prodigal son.
Further, as the Living Word of God, Jesus makes the Word of God accessible to all souls who abide in Him, no longer simply words inscribed on stone tablets but a living entity in all reborn believers.
TO SUMMARIZE
Through this new birth from the “Son of God and the Son of Man – the “Divine Adam”, He being One with God, you become “Blood of Christ’s Blood and Spirit of Christ’s Spirit who is the Spirit of God,” unlike Eve who was “Bone of Adam’s Bone and Flesh of his Flesh. “
This transformation allows you to become a divine child of God, your soul becoming in the process a new Eve or Bride of Christ, being readied and purified for her wedding day by receiving her teachings directly from the Holy Spirit living within. The Holy Spirit will work on your soul to get it/you ready for the great divine wedding to the Prince of Peace, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
