I have covered why God chose a Nation for Himself to sift and purify, the Elect (Jacob/Israel and Tribes of Judah), and why He allowed the fallen angels (principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places – Ephesians 6:12), to rule over the Gentiles (all other Nations). You can read about this in THE MILLENNIUM REIGN – THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD for the relevant scripture verses to understand why God chose this particular subset of souls first to start His salvation plan.
I am addressing this here again because it is very important to understand this concept to properly understand what God is doing in terms of His redemptive work with respect to all His “children in the making”, the souls which are sparks of God with the potential to become children of God.
Souls after all are those whose names are written in the Book of Life as they are sparks of God, of His breath of life, until and unless God cuts the silver cord which connects them to Him thereby erasing their names from the Book. The captive souls taken hostage by the Enemy remain alive as long as God maintains His connection to them via the silver cord. The earth, under Satan’s purview, is a sifting/purifying machine, while only God and Christ, as One through the Holy Spirit are the Judge of souls and it is God’s angels led by Christ that carry out the final threshing, the separation of the wheat from the chaff, on Judgement Day.
God started the redemptive work which involves the purification of souls with His chosen group, the Elect, because they were already worshiping Him, the One and Only Living God who created all things and all souls. It is therefore logical for God to start working on those closest to the goalpost, isn’t it? But the fact that God selected a Chosen people does not mean He intended to stop there. This is made very clear in both the Old Testament and the New Testament and I am surprised there is so much confusion surrounding this. There is also confusion regarding the Gentiles replacing the original Elect which is not the case. God ultimately wants all souls to return to Him but He will not be mocked nor will He force souls to choose Him, God respects free will.
Whether from the Elect or the Gentiles, God requires souls to choose Him and accept Jesus Christ by faith as the Messiah to atone for their sins before they can be invited to the wedding feast in the Promised Land.
Further, salvation of the souls is ultimately a work between each soul and God. This is not a contest between groups of souls. We either want to repent, learn and grow or we don’t. God is patient and merciful and while God chose a particular group of people to work with first because they were already true believers (Firstborn Believers), some of them also strayed along the way. When they did and started worshiping the false gods of Babylon, God let them fall into captivity in Babylon to let them see for themselves what their new gods would do for them. Did God do this because He gave up on the Elect? No.
God did this because that is what God has done since Adam and Eve fell from the garden. God lets His children learn from their mistakes, from the consequences of moving away from Him in order to trust the Enemy and his fallen angels who have always appeared deceptively to Humanity as gods to be idolized and worshipped. God is letting the whole world learn from this mistake today as we soon enter into the Great Tribulation period.
The Gentiles that accompanied the Hebrews out of Egypt during the Exodus and those that later accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah already began being sifted and purified along with the Elect. For example, God ordained that Caleb who was a Gentile would inherit the right to enter the Promised Land because he had been faithful to God:
Deuteronomy 1:34-36 “When the Lord heard what you said, he was angry and solemnly swore: “No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors, except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on, because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly.”
The story of Hagar, an Egyptian servant, represents a Gentile and her son Ishmael the firstborn son of Abraham who could have received double the inheritance of the father and been consecrated to God but who as an unbeliever, forfeited that inheritance by choosing the world instead, as many firstborn sons of the bible (i.e.: Esau versus Jacob). Hagar did not yet know God when she ran away into the wilderness because Sarai (later Sara) was mistreating her. There, the Angel of the Lord appeared to her to help her realize that she had no real plan or direction for her life or for her soul’s destiny. Running away into the wilderness is running into the gaping jaws of the Enemy. If God didn’t care about the Gentile souls, why send His Angel to save Hagar?
Genesis 16:7-13 – Now the Angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?”
She said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”
The Angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.” Then the Angel of the Lord said to her, “I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.”
And the Angel of the Lord said to her:
“Behold, you are with child,
And you shall bear a son.
You shall call his name Ishmael,
Because the Lord has heard your affliction.
He shall be a wild man;
His hand shall be against every man,
And every man’s hand against him.
And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”
The Angel told her: “I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.” Why would God multiply her descendants if He did not love her or the Gentiles in general? God never intended to discriminate against any soul but neither did He intend to show preference to those who rebelled against Him and took Him for granted. Cain for example as the Firstborn could have been consecrated to God but chose to rebel against God and chose the world; he also chose to hate and kill his brother instead of changing. Cain just as Nimrod, Ishmael, Esau, etc… are described in the bible as hunters (of souls?) or worlders, whether from a Hebrew lineage or not, they were all Gentiles because this simply means disbelievers, pagans or the dead.
Today, instead of counting strictly on bloodlines, anyone that accepts Jesus Christ by faith as the Messiah and loves the One Living God with all their heart, and all their soul and all their strength with a view to serve God faithfully can begin their journey towards the Promised Land. The birth order of the spiritually awake (the Firstfruits to be) is no longer the preeminent factor allowing a soul to begin this quest. Read THE FIRSTBORN VERSUS THE FIRSTFRUITS OF THE HARVEST.
After the ascension of Christ, God called Saul of Tarsus, a Gentile, to serve and follow Him. Saul a Gentile, became the apostle Paul – apostle to the Gentiles. On the other hand, Judas who was originally from the Elect forfeited God’s inheritance after betraying Jesus. Any soul can lose God’s promise if it chooses to refuse it and this inheritance will be passed along to the next soul that truly desires it.
This does not however cancel God’s promise to the Elect as God’s Word makes clear that Jesus will return for the remnant of the Elect. The Word does make clear for all souls that nobody should take God’s invitation for granted as illustrated in the Parable of the Wedding Banquet:
Matthew 22 : 1-14 -“Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
“Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
“But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.
“Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
“For many are invited, but few are chosen.“
For a soul to continue living, truly living, it must be born again to move on to the new world – (read HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN)
